Light: Provide bright, filtered, indirect light; direct sunlight can scorch leaves, especially for variegated types.
Water: Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry, but ensure the pot has excellent drainage to prevent "wet feet". Yellow leaves can indicate either overwatering or underwatering.
Humidity & Temperature: They prefer high humidity (40-60%). Keep them in temperatures above 60F (16C") and away from cold, drafty doors or windows.Soil: Use a well-draining, rich potting mix containing peat moss, perlite, or bark.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer).
Maintenance: Regularly dust leaves to ensure proper photosynthesis. Prune to maintain shape and encourage fullness.
Common Issue: Ficus are known to shed leaves when stressed by changes in location, temperature, or lighting.
Important Notes: Ficus produce a milky sap that can irritate skin and is mildly toxic to pets and children if ingested.Rotate the plant weekly for even growth.
